Sarah Long, President
Sarah founded Long Research Consultants in 2011, after sixteen years of work in public opinion research. During her career, Sarah has conducted extensive research for over 150 corporations including 15 companies in the top 100 Fortune 500 companies. Recent projects have explored a wide range of industries and issues such as energy, the environment, taxes, community issues, development projects, product stewardship, regulatory affairs, health care, agriculture, pharmaceutical and biotech, financial services, and trade associations.
Sarah stays abreast of the latest developments in public opinion research through participation in the American Association for Public Opinion Research, and abides by its code of ethics and best practices for professional public opinion researchers. With rigorous attention to sound research methodologies, her work has been published in publications ranging from Parade Magazine to the Journal of the American Medical Association (JAMA).
Kate Brigger, Vice President of Operations
Kate has experience working with a wide array of clients and issues in the corporate, political and public policy sector. She specializes in working with organizations and communities helping them understand how current policy issues affect them. Some of the specific areas include: environmental issues (regulations, water, forestry, petroleum and toxic/hazardous waste); social issues (crime, education and health care) and economic issues (taxes and monetary expectations). Furthermore, Kate works with clients in creating marketing and public education pieces which will allow them to effectively communicate with their target audiences. Prior to coming to Charlton Research Company, Kate worked in marketing and public relations with such firms as Wells Fargo Bank and The GRUBB Co.
Michael Wang, Senior Analyst
With over two decades of expertise in analytics as well as many other areas of managing public opinion research projects, Michael brings wide ranging capabilities to the LRC team. Working closely with the project team, Michael directs most of our multivariate statistical analysis and excels at translating data into effective strategies and action plans. A part of the Charlton Research team since 1993, Michael’s extensive experience in analyzing and interpreting data on an enormously diverse variety of issues has proved invaluable to our clients.
Andrea McMahon, Project Manager
As part of the team for over seven years, Andrea has played a key role in every aspect of managing both qualitative and quantitative research projects. Andrea works closely with clients and the project team on research design, overseeing fieldwork, and developing analysis and presentations of results. Andrea also leads the development of presentations and graphics and maintains a great deal of tracking data on key issues.
John Stalker, Focus Group Moderator
Formerly a Senior Project Director with Charlton Research, John now works as an independent research consultant. Working in this capacity since 1995, Mr. Stalker has consulted on many intricate issues for political, governmental and Fortune 500 clients, and moderated hundreds of focus groups. Mr. Stalker has conducted focus groups among many specialized target audiences on various issues, and is extremely adept at gleaning insights into the nuances of the issues. Prior to joining Charlton Research in 1991, Mr. Stalker owned and managed the company he founded, Competitive Edge Research, in San Diego, California.
Shannon Paciorek, Fieldwork Coordinator
With a background in event planning, Shannon manages the deployment of research projects in the field. Shannon is primarily responsible for coordinating focus group projects, frequently overseeing multiple teams in various locations around the country. With great attention to detail, Shannon keeps every project moving on track and on time.
Chuck Rund, Consultant
President of Charlton Research, Mr. Rund consults on special projects for LRC. For over 30 years under Chuck’s direction, Charlton Research conducted extensive national public opinion research for over 250 corporations, including 24 listed in the top 100 of the Fortune 500. Recognized as an expert in the research and analysis of specialized issues affecting the political community, Mr. Rund has been a key player in four Presidential campaigns, twelve Gubernatorial campaigns, seventeen Senate races, campaigns for 48 elected Congresspeople and many state, local and initiative campaigns. Mr. Rund has been an election night analyst for CBS news for the past 29 years and also remains abreast of trends in national and statewide politics. In recent years, Mr. Rund has also served as an advisor on various national issues including the environment, health care, foreign policy, taxes, trade, information technology, and others.
